The Brogue Goes Beaujolais Day

Posted on 1st December 2015

The Brogue Goes Beaujolais Day in aid of George Thomas Hospice Care yesterday was a massive success.

A maximum capacity of 175 guests were thoroughly entertained throughout the day and raised over £10,000 which will be match-funded by the Jane Hodge Foundation.

The charity is so grateful to Chris Macnamara of the Brogue Trader and his wife Jo for working so hard to make sure everybody had a fabulous time. The Jury’s Parc Hotel was a beautiful setting and we are grateful to manager, Ben and his staff for looking after everybody so well and also donating 10% of bar sales back to GTHC.

The day started with a drinks reception with live jazz and canapes from Spiro’s Fine Catering. Then guests then took their seats for a delicious four-course menu. During the dinner guests were entertained by magician, Bryan Gunten. After dinner there was a live question and answer session with Welsh rugby stars, Scott Williams, Gareth Davies and Scott Baldwin who were very accommodating and posed for pictures with guests afterwards. Following this the entertainment continued with live singing from former X Factor star, James Williams and casino roulette tables.

Everybody said afterwards that it was the most enjoyable Beaujolais Day they had ever had and the Brogue Trader has plans to do it all again next year, so watch this space
