My first visit to Loakes in Frederick Street, Edinburgh.
Staff member James made me feel very welcome and gave as much time as necessary to look around. Once chosen, my shoe fitting was conducted with professional knowledge and patience, absolutely no pressure or hard sell, while I satisfied myself they were just right.
Retailers like Loake are hard to find nowadays, where you are treated with friendliness and honesty. Prices are higher than elsewhere but this is reflected in the quality of the footwear.

I have been looking for a pair of formal shoes for my upcoming wedding. I visited the Chester store where I was warmly welcomed by Alex and Paul. I had a great experience from start to finish. Alex took the time to measure my feet and share his extensive knowledge of shoes and the Loake brand. I was keen to understand more about polishing my new shoes as I mentioned I wanted a certain shine on them for my wedding, both Alex and Paul took the time and demonstrated how to achieve this.

I cannot recommend the store enough and will certainly be returning in the near future for another pair!
